Family Tree donates $500 to Kappa Delta Pi for Book Drive

The Family Tree Foundation donated $500 to the Annual Kappa Delta Pi Book Drive to purchase books, to enrich the schools, libraries, hospitals, etc. in need. Some examples are Riley’s Hospital, Kosair Children’s Hospital Library and` various school districts. This year’s KDP Book Drive runs from February 21, 2011 to April 22, 2011. Kappa Delta Pi would like our members to join in their school effort to support readers of various ages in our community. How can you help? You can help us in two ways, monetary or book donations.

Collecting monetary donations from your organization or members will help us buy books to support these organizations in our community. Please send all monetary donations to the attention of Dr. Kevin Bailey to the above address. Asking your members to bring in gently used book(s) from pre-school to high school content, will help us in our fight against illiteracy. We look forward to you joining our team in this attempt to improve literacy in our society.

Thanks from the Family Tree Foundation!
